Around 40 days after its latest update, QR Droid 4.1 has been released!
What’s new?
- Satellite map
Now, you can just touch a button to change between Satellite and Simple map modes:
- Optional GPS capabilities
Touch another button and get your current GPS coordinates to share them as a QR Code. As you can guess, this feature requires QR Droid to ask for ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission.
But, what about users who don’t want this feature and thus don’t want to grant this permission?
We have an answer: A separate plug-in. Just download free app “QR-GPS Plugin” from the Market and you’ll have this feature working!
- Multilingual, really!
QR Droid is now one of the most multilingual apps. It’s now available in 26 languages:
Català (CA), Český (CS), Danske (DA), Deutsch (DE), Ελληνικά (EL), English (EN), Español (ES), Suomi (FI), Français (FR), Magyar (HU), Italiano (IT), 日本 (JA), 한국어 (KO), Nederlands (NL), Norske (NO), Polski (PL), Português (PT), Português (Br.) (PT-BR), Русский (RU), Slovenských (SK), Svenska (SV), Türk (TR), Український (UK), 中國 (ZH-CN), 中国 (ZH-TW) and
עברית (HE)
Additionally, now you can choose what language you prefer manually. Just open QR Droid and touch Menu > Language. Select your language and restart the app (exit with Back button and open it again).
- Share local images
Anonymous upload of your images (to get an URL and share it as a QR Code) is compatible with several more devices, including the Samsung Galaxy SII.
Just open QR Droid, touch tab “Share” and select “Local image”
- Decoding saved QR images
QR Droid‘s system to decode a saved QR image (as well as from its URL) has been heavily improved. Now, you’ll be able to decode much more images, even those who resisted before.

Custom Search can now be set as a Default Action after scanning a QR Code.
After you scan any code, you’ll get a shortcut to scan another code, right away!
Adding a logo to a created QR Code is now compatible with more devices
